Window World is thrilled to announce the overwhelming generosity of its team members who came together while on a trip to Jamaica to raise $322,500 for Window World Cares® — a nonprofit organization whose efforts are solely dedicated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. The string of life-altering gifts commenced with an unexpected donation of $50,000 from MI Windows and Doors. Inspired and overjoyed — owners, employees, and vendors followed suit with contributions, making the final evening of Window World’s 2018 Owners Trip in Jamaica a night to remember.
“It was truly a sight to behold. People were jumping up and down, shouting, clapping, and whistling. I was completely taken aback by everyone’s generosity and eagerness to come together to do so much good for an organization we care deeply about,” explains Window World Chairman and CEO Tammy Whitworth.
Associated Materials Incorporated announced a donation of $25,000. Window World owners and employees followed suit, making donations that ranged from $250 to $20,000 each. By the end of the night, Window World Cares raised $322,500 in surprise donations.
Window World, America’s largest replacement window and exterior remodeling company, looks beyond its customers’ front doors to focus on community outreach. The company is passionately committed to helping others through Window World Cares, the charitable arm of Window World. Since its inception in 2008, Window World Cares has donated more than $8 million to St. Jude.
Named for the patron saint of lost causes, St. Jude takes on the most challenging cases of childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. No family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
